Global Traveler magazine held its 12th annual Wines on the Wing International Airline Wine Competition in May 2016. I was honored to be one of 26 wine professionals judging the wines. Airlines from around the world were invited to submit two white wines, two red ones and one Champagne or sparkling wine currently on their wine lists offered to first- and business-class customers. The wines were judged blind on a 20-point scale. The results were just published by Global Traveler magazine, and Singapore Airlines’ in-flight wine program won first place. Read more here.

In "A Look at 7 2014 Rosés," Lenn Thompson of the Long Island Wine Press highlights Bouké Rosé: "this rosé straddles the line between rich and crisp with juicy, fruity strawberry and red raspberry flavors mingling with a distinct herbal quality that turns it a bit savory. It’s at once mouth-filling and appetite-whetting."

We are very excited to receive 90-point ratings for two of our wines from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate in its June 30 issue (#219). Mark Squires, Parker’s wine taster and author, just published a review of East Coast Wines, in which he discovered a number of local wines that are “ simply impressive, completely refuting any notion that anyone might have that this is not a serious wine region.”
